What eNotas is for

If you sell on Hotmart or bill through a payment platform, every sale needs a Brazilian invoice, and doing them one by one on the city hall's site eats your day. eNotas connects to the platform where you sell and issues the service or product invoice by itself, at the moment you choose: when the charge is created, when it's paid or after the refund window ends. Your company still needs an A1 digital certificate and a city hall that eNotas supports.

How it plugs into your product

  1. 1Check that your city hall is on eNotas's list and get an A1 e-CNPJ certificate if you don't have one.
  2. 2Subscribe (checkout runs on Hotmart), fill in the company's tax details and upload the certificate.
  3. 3Connect your sales platform in a few clicks; each sale shows up in eNotas.
  4. 4Choose when invoices are issued (on charge, on payment or after the guarantee) and let it email them to customers.

Does it fit your idea?

It fits if

  • A founder selling a course, ebook or membership on Hotmart who wants every sale invoiced without code.
  • Products with a refund guarantee, where you'd rather issue the invoice only after the guarantee ends.
  • Around 60 invoices a month, which the cheapest plan covers.

Look elsewhere if

  • You want to call an API from your own SaaS on a small budget: the API only comes with Business, at R$737/month.
  • You invoice for several companies (CNPJs), like a SaaS issuing for its customers.
  • Your company is in a small city that isn't on the integrated list.

What people only find out after building

Read this before you build on it. Each item links to the official page that says so.

  • Your own API integration only comes with Business (R$737/month) and Enterprise. Basic, Plus and Pro work through the ready-made integrations.

  • Each subscription covers one CNPJ. A second company means a second subscription.

  • Only an A1 certificate works with the automation, and eNotas covers hundreds of city halls, not all. Check your city before paying.

  • Invoices above the plan are billed the next month, at R$0.77 each on Basic. The 30-day refund guarantee ends after that, with no refund on cancellation.

What it costs in practice

Estimate for 200 invoices a month: Basic is R$137 + 140 extra × R$0.77 ≈ R$245/month, while Plus is R$257 with 500 included, so Plus is the better pick. Add the yearly A1 certificate.
